Tooth whitening is completed in one treatment session. We begin by making sure your teeth are properly clean with a thorough ultra-sonic cleaning. Then we progress to the actual whitening

 

We use the BriteSmile Professional Teeth Whitening system. Unlike traditional bleaching methods, with BriteSmile there's no fuss, mess or trays to take home. We apply a gentle whitening gel which is then activated by a special blue light. All you have to do is sit back and relax.

 

The BriteSmile light is not UV, heat or laser-activated and does not damage the hard tissue of the tooth nor does it cause any increased sensitivity.

 

The patented BriteSmile light is not UV, heat or laser-activated. It is a gentle, blue light tuned to the wavelength of the whitening gel so that your teeth are whitened after about an hour of treatment.

 

Whitening systems do not affect porcelain or Zirconium so if you are thinking of having veneers or crowns it is important to do the whitening first. This way we can match the colour of the veneers / crowns to the whitened teeth and your smile will be uniform.

 

Dental Bleaching is now offered by some beauty parlours, but staff may only have had a quite short course before they offer these treatments. If the strength of the bleach used is underestimated lasting damage to the enamel can be caused.
